Company Description

Roceso Technologies is a pioneering medical device company developing breakthrough solutions in soft robotics for neurorehabilitation and assistive technologies. Our flagship product, the EsoGLOVE, has transformed rehabilitation care through intuitive, non-invasive technology. We are expanding our innovation pipeline and seeking passionate talent to scale our next-generation devices from development to commercialization.

Job Summary

As a Senior Engineer – Electrical & Firmware, you will play a critical role in the development and commercialization of our new product pipeline. This includes hardware design, embedded firmware development, prototyping, and supporting regulatory and manufacturing readiness for commercial-scale medical devices. You will work cross-functionally with mechanical, biomedical, clinical, and product teams to ensure robust, user-centric, and compliant solutions for patients and clinicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electronic systems for wearable and portable medical devices, including circuit design, PCB layout, and power management.
  • Develop, test, and optimize embedded firmware for sensor integration, motor control, wireless communication, and user interfaces.
  • Work closely with the product development team to translate clinical and user needs into technical specifications.
  • Design and execute system validation and verification plans (V&V) in accordance with medical device standards (e.g. IEC 60601, ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
  • Support design transfer activities to manufacturing partners, including test jig development, process documentation, and DFM/DFT optimization.
  • Contribute to risk management activities, such as FMEA, hazard analysis, and traceability.
  • Interface with regulatory and quality teams to ensure compliance with relevant FDA, CE, and ISO standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews, continuous improvement, and innovation roadmapping.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in EE and firmware design, preferably in medical devices, wearables, or rehabilitation technologies.
  • Proven experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, RTOS, and low-level driver development.
  • Hands-on experience with analog/digital circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
  • Familiarity with wireless protocols (e.g., BLE, Wi-Fi) and sensor integration (IMUs, pressure sensors, etc.).
  • Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other EE tools.

Preferred:

  • Experience with medical device design controls, including documentation under ISO 13485 or FDA QSR.
  • Familiarity with soft robotics or human-machine interaction is a plus.
  • Prior involvement in clinical trials or pilot deployments is advantageous.

What We Offer

  • A rare opportunity to shape future technologies that improve mobility and independence for patients worldwide.
  • A collaborative, mission-driven team at the intersection of engineering, healthcare, and human impact.
  • Opportunities for growth in a dynamic medtech startup environment.

If you're ready to engineer real change in the lives of others, we want to hear from you.
