S4S Technologies is a decentralized agri-processing platform serving shelf-stable, nutrition-rich, and convenience foods to industrial kitchens and packaged food companies. At the heart of the S4S business model is the solar-powered food dehydration system operated by women micro-entrepreneurs (MEs). S4S works with MEs to convert produce into non-perishable by providing them with the right combination of technology, finance, and market. The non-perishable produce is made fit for the customer at the central facility and supplied as food ingredients to the food and beverage industry. Serving over 850 small and large customers, S4S works with 260 small MEs in 14 villages in Maharashtra.
