Job Overview
As an Inventory Control Assistant, your role focuses on managing inventory, ensuring stock availability, and inspecting deliveries. Responsibilities include updating stock records, conducting audits, and generating inventory reports. You will collaborate with other departments and provide feedback to the procurement team. Success in this position requires proficiency in inventory software, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels and update stock records.
- Ensure sufficient stock availability to meet business demands.
2. Order Processing
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments.
- Track supplier deliveries.
3. Data Entry & Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate inventory records in databases or software.
- Generate reports on stock movements, shortages, or surpluses.
4. Inventory Audits
- Conduct routine stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assist in inventory forecasting and demand planning.
5. Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with various departments on stock availability.
- Provide feedback to the procurement team regarding stock issues.
6. Software Utilization
- Use inventory management systems efficiently.
7. Learning & Development
- Continuously strive to develop your knowledge and skills further.
- Engage proactively with colleagues in your team and cross-functionally to improve and enhance efficiency.
- Perform any additional duties related to the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities that your manager may assign you.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include:
- Enhance inventory security across the stores.
- Ensure a satisfactory order fulfillment rate for the user departments.
- Ensure that all deliveries match with their respective LPOs.
- Maintain inventory records.
- Ensure that all inventories are arranged professionally.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain and logistics.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in either Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, Business Management or Warehouse Management.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.
Working Hours Per Week
- 40 Hours
