Your mission at Sistema.bio:
Reporting directly to the CFO and maintaining a strategic line of communication with the CEO, the Carbon & Impact Structured Finance Manager leads a $100M carbon assets financing program, developing innovative solutions like carbon credits and Results-Based Financing (RBF). The role focuses on building financial models, managing investor relationships, and growing the program into new markets, while ensuring compliance and smooth SPV operations across regions. The goal is to open new opportunities for impactful investments and help shape the future of climate finance.
You’ll be in charge of:
- Program Management: Lead and manage a $100M carbon assets structured finance vehicle, ensuring smooth operations including carbon asset reporting, debt schedules, drawdown preparations, and compliance with covenants and certifications.
- Expansion: Drive the extension of the program by incorporating new countries, compartments, and investor participation, ensuring timely delivery of all milestones.
- Innovative Financing: Support the structuring and implementation of innovative financing solutions focused on carbon credits, impact financing, and Results-Based Financing (RBF), including negotiating term sheets and managing financing agreements.
- Financial Modeling: Collaborate on building accurate financial models to support debt and equity investment decisions.
- Investor Relations: Work closely with the CFO to produce and deliver standardized investor reports, ensuring consistency and timely dissemination.
- Coordination: Ensure alignment of financing terms with business objectives, working with Carbon, Finance, and Operations teams to meet shared goals.
More about YOU:
- 5+ years of experience in structured finance, project finance, investment banking, or venture capital, with expertise in carbon or impact financing.
- Strong knowledge of managing SPVs, debt schedules, compliance certificates, and innovative financing structures like RBF (Results-Based Financing).
- Proven ability to handle complex financial transactions involving multiple stakeholders across international markets.
- Experience overseeing structured finance vehicles and ensuring smooth execution.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and asset valuation.
- Excellent investor relations skills, with the ability to communicate financial insights and strategic objectives clearly.
- Hands-on experience with term sheet negotiation, financing agreement structuring, and understanding tax/legal implications.
- A strong track record of closing financing deals with measurable results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
