Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Architect to drive the architecture, design, and technical strategy of our product ecosystem. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the technical vision, ensuring the scalability, security, and maintainability of our platforms, and partnering closely with product and engineering leaders. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python, Java, React, AWS (with EKS), and API-driven architectures (REST & GraphQL), along with a strong product mindset and the ability to influence engineering practices across the organization.

In this role you will...

Architectural Leadership

• Define and own the overall technical architecture for product platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Establish architectural best practices, coding standards, and technology frameworks aligned with long-term business goals.
• Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on system design, integrations, and modernization initiatives.

Product Development Support

• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX designers to translate business needs into technical blueprints and scalable solutions.
• Ensure architecture supports rapid iteration, continuous delivery, and customer-centric product development.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term architectural vision.

Technical Expertise

• Provide hands-on guidance in Python, Java, React, and modern frameworks for building scalable full-stack applications.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, promoting reusability and modularity.
• Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS) for high availability, resiliency, and cost optimization.
• Drive decisions on databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, messaging queues, and event-driven architectures.
• Integrate DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code into architectural frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering managers to ensure smooth implementation of architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure compliance, quality, and robustness.
• Provide technical mentorship to senior engineers, elevating the overall technical bar of the organization.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating new technologies, tools, and frameworks for adoption.
• Drive initiatives for modernization, cloud migration, containerization, and performance optimization.
• Influence product and business strategy by aligning technology capabilities with market opportunities.

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, React, and AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS).
• Expertise in API-first development, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL service design.
• Deep experience with scalable distributed systems, high-availability architectures, and Kubernetes (EKS)-based deployments.
• Proficiency in database design, performance tuning, and data modeling for transactional and analytical workloads.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation.

Architectural & Product Skills

• Proven track record of defining and delivering enterprise-scale architectures in a product-driven company.
• Ability to bridge business requirements with technical architecture and influence product roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

Leadership & Communication

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate architectural vision to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor and influence engineering teams without direct management authority.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business value through technology.
