Job Description: Cloud Business Operations Analyst

Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cloud Business Operations Analyst to support the financial, operational, and customer-facing functions of our cloud business. This role will be responsible for managing purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs), tracking and reporting cloud expenses, overseeing customer order processing, entitlement fulfillment, maintaining accuracy across customer portals and internal systems, and creating dashboards for financial and operational insights. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, operational discipline, and experience working at the intersection of cloud services, procurement, and customer operations.

In this role you will...

Financial & Procurement Operations

  • Create, process, and track Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) for cloud services and subscriptions.
  • Partner with finance, procurement, and vendors to ensure accurate billing, timely renewals, and reconciliations.
  • Manage invoices, expense tracking, and contract alignment across cloud providers and SaaS vendors.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, budget forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly expense and budget reports to monitor cloud spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights on expenses, and budgets.

Customer Order & Entitlement Management

  • Process customer orders and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of cloud and SaaS entitlements.
  • Maintain records of customer subscriptions, licenses, and renewal schedules.
  • Partner with sales and customer success teams to resolve entitlement or order-related issues quickly.
  • Support compliance with contractual terms, ensuring customers receive correct access and services.

Portal & Systems Management

  • Oversee customer portals and internal systems to ensure accurate reflection of orders, entitlements, and billing data.
  • Coordinate updates and synchronization between CRM, financial systems, and entitlement portals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting portal accuracy or customer experience.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate data and documentation.

Cloud Operations & Reporting

  • Track and analyze cloud usage, costs, and entitlements across AWS, Azure, GCP, and SaaS platforms.
  • Provide consolidated reporting on expenses, entitlement fulfillment, and operational KPIs.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, procurement, IT, and operations) to ensure seamless end-to-end processes.
  • Create dashboards and visual reports to present key metrics on budget, expenses, and operational performance.

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in cloud operations, financial operations, or customer order management.
  • Experience with procurement/finance systems (Oracle, Coupa, or similar).
  • Strong skills in Excel for analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with cloud billing and cost management (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Preferred:

  • Experience with CRM or order management platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow, or similar).
  • Exposure to entitlement/license management systems.
  • Knowledge of FinOps practices for cloud cost governance.
  • Understanding of JIRA or similar ticketing/project management tools.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to work across finance, sales, procurement, and technical teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
