Associate AI Engineer

This role is Hybrid, Dublin Office

We are seeking an Associate AI Engineer to join our Workforce AI organization in Dublin, CA. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to kickstart their career in AI and cloud-based software development. The Associate AI Engineer will work closely with our experienced engineers, product managers, and UX designers to deliver AI-powered workforce intelligence solutions that are technically robust, user-friendly, and accessible.

This is a 6 month fixed term role.

In this role you will…

Engineering & AI Development

• Develop backend services, APIs, and AI-enabled features under the mentorship of senior engineers
• Implement solutions that align with system design specifications and best practices
• Integrate AI and machine learning models into production-ready software
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables

UX Collaboration & Design Alignment

• Work closely with UX designers to understand user requirements, workflows, and usability considerations
• Translate UX designs, wireframes, and interaction patterns into well-structured code
• Provide input on technical feasibility and suggest design optimizations
• Ensure features meet usability, accessibility, and user-centered design principles
• Contribute to design discussions and help shape the user experience of our products

Platform & Delivery

• Develop and deploy solutions in AWS cloud environments
• Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases to support various Workforce AI use cases
• Follow agile development methodologies and actively participate in sprint ceremonies
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design diagrams, and implementation notes
• Conduct thorough testing and validation to meet performance, security, and quality standards

You have what it takes if you have…

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and RESTful API development
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning concepts, and their applications in software systems
• Exposure to UX design principles and ability to implement designs with high fidelity
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Passion for emerging technologies and desire to learn and grow in the AI and cloud computing domain

An extra dose of awesome if…

• Internship or project experience in AI/ML, cloud computing, or software engineering
• Familiarity with AWS services and development tools
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git)
• Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or other AI subdomains relevant to workforce intelligence
• Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance considerations in AI systems

The starting salary for the successful applicant will depend on several job-related factors, including education, training, experience, certifications, location, business needs, and market demands.
