StormFisher Hydrogen is a developer, owner, and operator of large-scale clean energy facilities focused on the production of electrolysis-based hydrogen and clean fuels that enable a transition to a low carbon future. We offer clients across the marine, transport, petrochemical and utility markets various pathways to reduce their emissions, including e-Methanol, e-Methane, and clean hydrogen.
The Opportunity
As the Senior Associate, Business Development you will play a key role in origination and development of clean energy facilities across North America. We are looking for an ambitious self-starter to support the offtake of clean fuels to international markets underpinning the economics of building and executing our pipeline of project developments. The role will be a good fit for a multifaceted individual, who can distil technical, commercial and policy considerations for renewable fuel projects. We are looking for advanced problem-solving, analytical and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team, often remotely.
The key activities will include (but are not limited to):
Product Marketing and Client Engagement:
- Develop and deliver compelling offerings to potential clean fuel offtakers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Work closely with international customers across sectors including maritime, natural gas, LNG, chemicals producers, and other markets.
- Manage leads through origination to clean fuel supply.
- Coordinate and execute definitive agreements, including negotiations and pricing strategies.
Financial Analysis and Due Diligence:
- Collaborate on investment decisions and financial modelling.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis to inform strategic choices.
Market Exploration and Industry Awareness:
- Identify new opportunities, growth areas, and trends in the clean fuels market.
- Work closely with liquified natural gas and methanol supply chain stakeholders to identify economic solutions of delivering clean fuels to our customers
Key Requirements and Skills
The successful candidate will have highly effective communication skills; verbal, written and presentation. They must be able to understand complicated subject material but present it in a simple, understandable context for all audiences. We are looking for smart, ambitious, and proactive people who can think strategically, see the bigger picture, set big goals and objectives, and come up with a tactile action plan for achieving them. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, accounting, mathematics, or marketing
2-5 years experience (relevant experience in the renewable energy industry, infrastructure and/or business development are an asset) - Progression, or completion, of designations such as CFA, P.Eng. or CPA are an asset
- Working knowledge of global clean fuel regulations such as the Inflation Reduction Act, and
- Renewable Energy Directive II are an asset.
- Be highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Have strong quantification skills, including cost & benefit analysis, scenario analysis, projections, regressions, and visualizing data in charts and graphs
- Have highly effective communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation.
- Be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines
- Be well organized and able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy
- Be a Self-starter with the ability to work with a collaborative, driven team of skilled professionals

Salary: $120,000 CAD
