As a Qualcomm Platform Hardware Engineer, you will architect, plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, circuits, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, and test systems, which launch cutting-edge, world class products in the market space.

A unique opportunity to be part of design framework that influences shaping of State-of-the-art mobile, edge, auto, AR/VR, Compute, IoT products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions to meet performance requirements.

Candidate is expected to have working knowledge and experience in architecture and design varying from handheld mobile devices to wearable products. Prior experience in component selection, electrical design, and PCB design, with working knowledge in PCB manufacturing, CCA assembly, and Final Assembly and Test are a plus.

Successful candidate for this position will join a hardware design team in Hyderabad developing smartphones and reference HW platforms, utilizing Qualcomm Chipsets & working with cross functional teams: CAD, Mechanical, Chip Design, SW and manufacturing. Responsibilities include but not limited to high-speed board design, signal integrity and PDN analysis and simulation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1-12 years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-12 years of experience with hardware system design, schematic capture, and circuit simulation software.
• Experience in designing hardware reference boards. Hands on experience in high speed board design including processors, DDR, eMMC, Display, Camera sensors, MIPI, DSI, CSI, HDMI interface, PCI express.
• Should possess good knowledge of transmission lines concepts, cross talk, decoupling, low-power supply design and familiar with layout of high performance PCBs.
• Strong signal integrity and PDN Analysis experience are desired.
• Experience with hardware system validation and measurement instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools)
