General Summary

Technology: Data Center Chipsets

This Data Center Chipset Program Manager position, focused on working as chipset SW Program Manager for Data center chipsets. Program Manager is responsible for program management support and leadership for managing the planning, development and delivery of software that span across multiple technology areas and product segments that deals with data center this includes CPU, Core Platform, Power Management, Linux, Kernel.

• Excellent opportunity to work on the latest cutting-edge software, hardware technologies and HLOS – Linux, Ubuntu
• Collaborate with all technology areas such BSP, Kernel, CPU
• Drive requirements scoping, analysis and planning including interdependencies, staffing constraints and schedule optimization across multiple tech teams and customer connect
• Establish clear Plan of Record commitment and drive prioritization
• Strong technical understanding of SW deliverables and risk management/risk mitigation. Exposure to complete SW Product life cycle.
• Establish rigorous execution discipline & communications process: risk management, mitigation, tracking, schedule trends vs baseline, recovery actions, executive reporting & stakeholder communications
• Develop program indicators to manage program health including quality and timelines
• Develop and establish strong processes that streamline the development cycle and help integrate multiple plans, dependencies and deliverables effectively
• Present program status to various stakeholders highlighting risks and mitigation plans. Asking for help if needed.
  
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Experience and domain knowledge of Wireless/Semiconductors is a must
• 15+ years (max) of experience in a combination of Software product development and program management in semiconductor/wireless industry
• Experience in software frameworks and distributions based on Linux (e.g. Yocto, Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian etc.).
• Thorough understanding of embedded software and systems, PU.
• Experience with open-source development model and business principles. Familiarity with embedded open-source software technology and ecosystem is a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux operating system integration and packaging policies
• Experience with end-to-end product integration
• Experience managing software products through entire development life cycle
  
  
  

Educational Requirements

• Required: Bachelor's in Computer Engineering/ Electrical Engineering
• Preferred: Master's in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Business Administration
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
