Senior Multimedia Designer, Motion Design for Video (Mexico City)
Qualcomm’s Creative Studio team is seeking a Senior Multimedia Designer with a proven track record of creating compelling, story-driven multimedia creative that advances brands and achieves business and marketing objectives. This role is for a highly skilled 3D and motion designer who can translate creative briefs into standout concepts and systems across a variety of media. The ideal candidate is a conceptual thinker and problem solver who thrives in a high-stakes, high-pressure environment and can deliver polished motion design under fast-moving timelines.
The Creative Studio is a dynamic and innovative team that delivers world-class creative solutions to support Qualcomm’s business objectives. The team works closely across the company’s marketing organization and with outside agency partners on projects across a wide range of mediums, including graphic and multimedia design, copy, video, environmental and experiential design, and live event visuals. This position is based in Qualcomm’s growing creative hub in Mexico City, which sits at the center of an evolving and ambitious creative strategy for the company. Creativity, collaboration, and a can-do attitude are highly valued.
Job Summary
The Senior Multimedia Designer leads the design and execution of high-impact 3D and motion graphics for a wide range of video projects, including short-form social edits, product stories, highly produced films, and keynote and experiential content. This role requires mastery of motion craft, including timing, pacing, transitions, and visual hierarchy, paired with strong editorial sensibility and the ability to integrate graphics seamlessly into an edit. The role independently develops concepts, builds reusable systems, and executes finished sequences that elevate storytelling and clarify complex messages, while consistently applying brand identity standards.
This position collaborates closely with editors, producers, writers, and visual designers. The Senior Multimedia Designer is expected to own projects end to end while also thriving in a team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
Associate's degree and 4+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop original 3D and motion concepts aligned to creative briefs, brand identity systems, and business and marketing objectives
- Design and animate polished motion graphics systems, including type, layout, iconography, and transitions, that scale across formats and deliverables
- Create high-end video sequences, including titles, supers, lower thirds, explainers, UI callouts, and product feature narratives
- Execute visual effects and compositing work as needed to support storytelling, including cleanups, screen replacements, tracked elements, and integrated VFX
- Partner with video editors to ensure motion design is tightly integrated into timelines and enhances pacing, clarity, and emotional impact
- Build and maintain organized project files, templates, and modular animation systems to support efficiency and consistency across campaigns
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and agency teams, incorporating feedback and iterating quickly without compromising quality
- Manage multiple projects with varying scopes and deadlines, communicating progress clearly and proactively
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
- Deep understanding of brand identity systems and the ability to apply them consistently in motion work across a wide range of deliverables
- Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy, applied specifically through motion design for video
- Ability to develop and execute original motion concepts aligned to business and marketing objectives
- Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to simplify complex ideas through motion and visual structure
- Familiarity with social media platform video formats and best practices, including YouTube and Instagram
- Creative thinking and problem solving
- Advanced communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Self-motivated problem solver who is proactive and driven, with the ability to take initiative and manage projects independently while adapting to changing project requirements and deadlines
- Cinema 4D or Blender: Proficiency in 3D modeling and animation to support video motion sequences, including product visuals, transitions, and stylized 3D elements
- Adobe After Effects: Mastery for 2D animation, motion design systems, compositing, and VFX workflows
- Adobe Premiere Pro: Expert-level timeline integration and collaboration with editorial workflows
- Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign: Advanced asset creation, layout support, image manipulation, and production design
- Figma or Adobe XD: Motion design for UI and UX storytelling, including interface flows, interaction narratives, and feature demonstrations
- Frame.io: Expert use of review workflows, versioning, and feedback cycles for video production
- Comfort working with technical and product subject matter and translating it into clear, compelling motion narratives
- Experience producing motion for large-scale launches, keynote visuals, or brand campaigns with multiple deliverables and formats
- Experience collaborating with agencies and cross-functional stakeholders in a brand-governed environment
