About the Role

Qualcomm is seeking a systems‑minded AI Performance Engineer to map next‑generation AI workloads onto our cutting‑edge accelerator platforms. You will analyze end‑to‑end system KPIs—power, performance, and TCO—across SoC, memory, and networking, helping shape Qualcomm’s AI system strategy for data centers, physical AI, and next‑gen computing devices.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate emerging AI workloads (MoE, multimodal AI, vector DBs, etc.) on Qualcomm’s future hardware platforms.
• Use internal and external tools to model workloads, run what‑if scenarios, and identify system bottlenecks.
• Influence SoC, memory, networking, and system‑level design decisions.
• Partner with architecture, software, and product teams to drive implementation strategy.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in ASIC design/verification/validation or system performance engineering.
• Deep understanding of AI workload characteristics and system‑level KPIs.
• Strong Python/scripting skills for workload modeling and analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.
• MS/PhD preferred in EE/CS or related field.
