As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  
  
  

Skills/Experience

1-5 years of experience. Strong hands on experience in C/C++ programming language.

Basic knowledge of wireless technologies like 4G/5G. Preferably some experience in MAC/ Phy development.

Good knowledge of OS concepts like threading, sync mechanism (mutex/semaphore).

Good knowledge of versioning tool perforce.

Hands on experience is desirable.

Good knowledge in SCM principles.

Hands on experience in Linux/Unix environment.

Experience in writing make files will be a bonus.

Basic Knowledge of Python and Scripting.

Knowledge of FAPI SCF.222 interface specs is bonus.

Must have strong debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Candidate is responsible for developing new features across L2-L1 interface. - Sanity/Smoke testing the builds before delivering it to customer.
• Candidate should quickly identify and eliminate manual, repetitive tasks through automation.
• Generate and provide reports to management/stake holders.
• Ability to mentor folks and ramp them up quickly on new tasks.
• Ability to design, develop and deploy tasks independently Work independently with little supervision.
• Engage with multiple teams(Dev/QA/CE) and manage their daily build/automation requirements.
• Use verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.
• May require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.
• Have a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions).
• Completing tasks that do not have defined steps; simultaneous use of multiple mental abilities is generally required to determine the best approach; mistakes may result in significant rework.
• Exercise substantial creativity to innovate new processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines or to achieve established objectives.
• Use deductive and inductive problem solving; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or conflicting; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required.
• Occasionally participate in strategic planning within own area affecting immediate operations.
• Display deep knowledge in a specific area; share knowledge with others on team and help less experienced engineers understand and apply advanced concepts.
  
  
  

Education Requirements

Bachelors in Technology in EC/CS/IT or MCA (Master of Computer Application)
