General Summary

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, a strategic function responsible for aligning enterprise technology investments with long‑term business outcomes. This role combines project delivery execution, cross‑functional coordination, and executive operational support for the Global Enterprise Architecture Lead.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and organizational capabilities, clear and professional communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. In addition to managing EA‑led initiatives using Agile and SAFe‑aligned practices, this role will act as a trusted operational partner—supporting leadership cadence, stakeholder engagement, and team‑building activities.

This position is well‑suited for a developing IT professional with foundational Agile knowledge who is eager to expand their technical skills through exposure to enterprise‑scale architecture initiatives and hands‑on project work.

This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week).

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution: Plan, track, and execute Enterprise Architecture initiatives, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables are managed to completion while meeting quality and compliance standards
  • Agile & SAFe Coordination: Support Agile and SAFe‑aligned delivery by maintaining Jira artifacts, tracking sprint progress, facilitating ceremonies, statement of work creation, consulting onboarding, vendor onboarding, and ensuring transparency across teams and stakeholders
  • Executive Operational Support: Act as an operational extension of the Global Enterprise Architecture Lead by managing calendars, preparing executive materials, coordinating leadership meetings, travel planning, expense reporting, and ensuring follow‑through on action items.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly and concisely across technical and non‑technical audiences using written updates, presentations, and meetings
  • Cross‑Team Collaboration: Build strong working relationships across IT domains, business partners, and the federated Community of Architects to support alignment and execution
  • Event & Cadence Management: Plan and coordinate EA team events, planning workshops, and team offsites; fostering collaboration, engagement, and team cohesion
  • Analytical & Reporting Support: Collect, analyze, and synthesize project and operational data to support leadership reporting, metrics, and decision‑making
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Identify opportunities to improve EA processes, documentation, and tooling, and develop new materials or solutions to support evolving team needs
  • Technical Skill Development: Participate as a junior contributor on hands‑on technical or architecture‑adjacent projects to build foundational enterprise technology and architecture knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in IT project coordination, project management, or PMO‑related roles
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies with basic familiarity of SAFe concepts
  • Hands‑on experience using Jira (or similar issue tracking, sprint boards, and project reporting tooling)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for executive and technical audiences
  • Demonstrated organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams, geographies, and organizational boundaries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting executive leaders or senior management in an operational or program coordination capacity
  • Exposure to Enterprise Architecture, IT strategy, or large‑scale transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with Confluence, PowerPoint, and executive‑level reporting artifacts
  • Experience coordinating team events, workshops, or offsites
  • Interest in expanding technical skills across enterprise platforms, architecture frameworks, or systems integration
  • Prior experience in a global, matrixed technology organization
