This is an individual contributor role within the Talent Development organization. The Instructional Designer will collaborate closely with HR partners, crossfunctional learning teams, and the Qualcomm learning ecosystem to create innovative, futureready learning experiences aligned to strategic business priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree and 7+ years of Employee Development, Talent Development, Human Resources, or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 9+ years of Employee Development, Talent Development, Human Resources, or related work experience.

Learning Design & Development
- Design and develop highquality instructional content across multimedia and digital formats, including elearning, videos, simulations, microlearning, workflows, and XRenhanced experiences.
- Apply instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles to ensure solutions are effective, scalable, accessible, and globally relevant.
- Build storyboards, prototypes, scripts, learning assessments, and facilitator/learner materials.
- Ensure deliverables are high quality, aligned to learning objectives, and optimized for global audiences.
- Use AI tools (generative AI, adaptive learning platforms, automation tools, agents) to enhance content development, create personalized learning experiences, and streamline workflows.
- Craft effective prompts to guide AI models in generating accurate, instructionally aligned content.
- Uphold responsible AI practices, ensuring data privacy, fairness, and ethical use in all learning solutions.
- Analyze learner data, engagement metrics, and feedback to refine content and strengthen learning outcomes.
- Build datainformed recommendations to enhance program effectiveness and report on impact.
- Partner with SMEs, HR partners, and crossfunctional collaborators to uncover learning needs and accurately translate content into highimpact learning.
- Facilitate content reviews, gather input, incorporate revisions, and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from scoping through deployment, while ensuring excellent communication, quality, and ontime delivery.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and content quality.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools and data analytics to learning design.
- Strong proficiency with elearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise), LMS platforms, and multimedia creation tools.
- Mastery of instructional design models and adult learning methodologies.
- Experience working with subject matter experts to translate complex content.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver highquality work in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Education, or a related field.
- Experience creating adaptive learning pathways, simulations, or AIenhanced learning tools.
- Familiarity with XR, gamified learning, or advanced multimedia design.
- Experience in a technologydriven environment or designing training for engineering or technical audiences.
- Background with AIenabled learning platforms and automation workflows.

OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 9+ years of Employee Development, Talent Development, Human Resources, or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
