General Summary

Qualcomm Cellular Technologies AI Proc Solutions group is looking for full-time embedded software engineer to work on the latest Snapdragon chipsets enabling Smart TV, Tablet, and Digital Media Adaptor products.

Replacement Position

The candidate will work as an embedded software engineer and will develop and test various real time video applications on the Qualcomm MPQ Snapdragon platform. The candidate should be motivated and self- driven, and be able to work with multiple teams, to determine and understand requirements and resolve technical issues. As the developer of the application the candidate will also be responsible for supporting customers (internal as well as external).

The Candidate Should Be Able To

• Read abstract problem definitions, define problem statements, design and ensure that goals of our end users and technology are met.
• Follow strong SW development practices and processes
• Design, implement and validate various embedded Video functions/applications
• Actively work without internal customers to support our tools
  
  
  

Skills/Experience

• Up to 2 years experience
• Strong knowledge of C/C++
• Strong knowledge of embedded development
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Knowledge of the ARM development environment a plus
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux and\or Win Mobile a plus
• Knowledge of Java/Android a plus
• Knowledge of Video functions like De-interlacing, Montion Compensation, Noise reduction, Color processing etc.. a plus
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits

$99,500.00 - $149,300.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
