Minimum Qualifications:

We are seeking experienced engineers with strong expertise in automotive cybersecurity at the system and SoC levels.
This position will be a hands-on role to independently perform cybersecurity management system audits and internal product assessment against ISO/SAE 21434 standard as well as driving continuous improvement in Qualcomm hardware cybersecurity development processes.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434 standard, practical experience in applying them to hardware and SoC development, and the ability to independently assess, audit, and influence improvements across cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities Shall Include The Following:
- Enhancement of hardware development process and related work products meeting cyber security standards as part of continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver ISO/SAE 21434training, with emphasis on application of Qualcomm best practices.
- Facilitate and review TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment) and VARA (Vulnerability Analysis and Risk Assessment) activities.
- Independently conduct cybersecurity management system audits and product assessments against ISO/SAE 21434; provide actionable feedback, identify gaps, and track follow-up actions with internal teams.
- Collaborate closely with SoC design teams, IP teams, third-party IP vendors, software teams, functional safety and cybersecurity managers, Quality teams, and customers to ensure effective deployment of defined cybersecurity processes.
- Participate in external and customer cybersecurity assessments, including support for corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain strong awareness of automotive cybersecurity best practices, emerging standards, and regulatory trends; proactively influence stakeholders with data-driven insights to close gaps in a timely manner.
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across Cybersecurity, Functional Safety, and Quality, supporting ongoing internal and external assessments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics and Communications Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of Systems Engineering/VLSI design or related work experience.
- Knowledge of product development flow and validation.
- Experience in leading process audits and product assessments against ISO/SAE 21434 standard
- 5+ years of automotive experience with familiarity in Hardware development in the semiconductor industry, meeting ISO/SAE 21434 standard
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 automotive SOTIF standards is a plus.
- Lead auditor certification for ISO 9001/IATF 16949 is a plus.
- Familiarity with ASPICE and software aspects of the Automotive Safety Functions is a plus.
