Senior Software Engineer — System Integration Test (SIT)

CI/CD, Test Infrastructure & Benchmarking for GenAI/Agentic applications in VLSI domain

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SIT) to contribute to system integration testing, CI/CD automation, and performance benchmarking across different ML R&D software projects. This role focuses on building and executing robust tests, contributing to shared test infrastructure, and ensuring reliable quality signals for ML- and AI-agent–driven workflows used in hardware and EDA environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute system, integration, and regression tests across services, AI agents, ML components, and infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) to support pre-merge and release validation.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of shared Python-based test automation frameworks.
• Implement and execute automated benchmarks to evaluate correctness, performance, cost, stability, and robustness.
• Analyze CI failures, flaky tests, and benchmark regressions; work with development teams on root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to test planning, coverage strategy, and execution models for new features and releases.
• Generate clear test and benchmark reports used for engineering feedback and release readiness.
• Collaborate closely with software, ML, and systems engineers to improve testability and overall system quality.
• Maintain test documentation, usage guides, and onboarding material.
  
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6+ years of experience in software engineering, system integration testing, or test automation roles.
• Strong Python skills for writing automated tests, utilities, and test infrastructure components.
• Hands-on experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test workflows.
• Experience with modern Python testing and automation ecosystems (e.g., pytest-based frameworks, test containers, API/integration test tooling).
• Solid understanding of integration and system testing for multi-component software systems.
• Familiarity with benchmark execution, metrics collection, and comparative evaluation.
• Basic understanding of AI agents or ML workflows and associated testing challenges.
• Strong debugging skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing ML- or AI-driven systems.
• Exposure to performance, scalability, or reliability testing.
• Familiarity with HPC, distributed systems, or large-scale compute environments.
  
  
  

BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  
  
  

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
