Purpose of the Role:

As a Senior SAB Prototype Technician, you will work closely with the SAB Technology and Manufacturing teams to develop the methods of construction and physically fabricate prototype articles to enable DV activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• You have a Diploma in Industrial Automation, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology or Technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• You have experience of at least 10 years in a prototyping and fabrication role.
• You have high attention to detail to achieve the specific sample variations called for in the validation plan.
• You have the ability to refine requirements and designs on the fly.
• You have the ability to manufacture parts using hand or machine tools, including: lathes, mills,
  fabrication, and welding equipment.

What Success looks like in this role:

• You will work closely with the SAB Technology team to understand specific test article requirements and develop appropriate fabrication plans.
• You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to develop manufacturing processes and equipment to be applied to the builds.
• You will coordinate activities with the SAB Engineer for design, procurement and assembly of required jigs and fixtures.
• You will collaborate with various team members to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues, and rework/repair of non-conforming products to determine root cause.
• You will contribute to the design and build of new test stations and equipment.
