Purpose of the Role:

As the VTS Test Technologist, you will be responsible for producing essential data for process design and optimization, providing process parameters to meet client’s requests and FEED studies. You will also establish a library of process data and conditions to cover a wide range of operating conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• You have a high school diploma, post-secondary, skilled trade, or equivalent experience, in engineering.
• You have 3+ years of previous experience.
• You have knowledge in engineering and Microsoft Office.
  
• You have prior hands-on experience with lab/plant operations, basic maintenance, and/or process control.
• You have previous experience on pipe work/plumbing.
  
• You are mechanically inclined with equipment and repair.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:

• You have experience with PSA/TSA (pressure/temperature swing adsorption) operation.
• You have knowledge of instrumentation.

What Success looks like in this role:

• You will safely operate the single bed test unit (VTS) including startup, shutdown, process tuning, and troubleshooting.
• You will monitor process data such as pressure, temperature, flowrate, and compositions.
• You will perform instrument calibration (mass spectrometer, flow controllers, flow meters), take gas samples.
• You will maintain a detailed log and records of each test daily.
• You will record any variances or issues during the test and inform team members/supervisors.
• You will carry out minor maintenance duties and order and maintain an inventory of replacement parts as needed.
