Purpose of the Role
As a Mechanical Design Analysis Lead, you will play a critical role in evaluating and optimizing the performance of filters used in carbon capture systems. You deliver technical expertise, develop methodologies and delegate your direct reports to perform detailed assessments, root cause analysis, and the validation of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and predictive models. Your expertise will help drive improvements in filter efficiency and effectiveness, advancing our mission to combat climate change.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or materials Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- You bring at least 10 years of technology development in a design role within rapidly growing new technology fields. Ideally this should be within technologies similar to Svante.
- You bring a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of managing and motivating teams to achieve project goals.
- You have Proven experience in product performance assessment, root cause analysis, test method development, and model validation.
- You possess Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Bonus Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience of advancing technology from an immature to advanced state is highly desirable.
- Experience with CAE tools and predictive modeling techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with carbon capture technologies and filtration systems is a plus.
- Experience designing with Creo CAD and Ansys FEA is desirable.
What Success looks like in this role
- You can lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists working on carbon capture products. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- You will successfully oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of carbon capture filter technical analysis. Ensure analysis and mechanical performance optimization is completed on time, with expertise, and meets customer needs.
- You successfully Perform comprehensive assessments of carbon capture filters, testing their efficiency, durability, and overall performance under various conditions.
- You Identify and lead investigation of issues related to filter performance, conducting thorough root cause analysis to resolve performance and reliability problems.
- You design, develop, and oversee new test methods and protocols to evaluate filter performance and reliability, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements.
