Purpose of the Role:

As the Supply Chain Co-op, you will support the Purchasing Team in procuring the goods and services Svante needs in our journey to commercialization. You will also support several office management and administrative duties, including special projects as assigned by the Senior Vice President, GSCO.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are a third or fourth year post-secondary student studying Business Administration.
  • You have an understanding of an Order-to-Pay cycle and workflow.
  • You have intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook specifically).
  • You're passionate about addressing climate change in a meaningful way.
  • You are a strong communicator with an ability to use an appropriate assortment of verbal, written and presentation strategies.
  • You have a proven ability to work well with cross-functional teams and diverse groups of stakeholders, as well as independantely.
  • You have strong time management abilities and can organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively.

What Success looks like in this role:

  • You will develop an understanding of the workflows associated with Svante’s Order-to-Pay process, which includes identifying a need to purchase, creating a purchase requisition, approving purchases, and finally placing a Purchase Order with a supplier.
  • You'll assume procurement responsibility for certain commodities as assigned by the Purchasing Team.
  • You will support Svante’s Office Manager in day-to-day administrative operations such as scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms and hoteling offices, coordinating travel arrangements, expense reporting, and handling correspondence.
  • You'll provide support to Svante’s Assistant to the Senior Management team.
  • You will follow-up with suppliers to confirm receipt of Purchase Orders.
  • You will place Purchase Orders for goods and services utilizing the company’s ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
