We produce uniquely functional materials that are good for the planet. Our mission is to be the world-leading producer of advanced materials from algae and a driving force towards a circular and bio-based industry. We are the first company in the world to cultivate and sell diatom algae shells. We call the material Algica®. Algica® is a porous silica with unique light-altering, absorptive, and binding properties that are unmatched by synthetic materials. Algica® is today used as a top-performing and certified organic personal care ingredient. Products with Algica® have today been launched in the Nordics, US, and Australia. Read more about the use of Algica in personal care applications at www.algica.com. Algica® can also make silicon solar panels at least 4% more efficient and DSSC 38% more efficient. Each kg of Algica® used in solar panels reduces CO2 emissions by at least 200 tons according to WWF. The production is circular and we aim to make it as environmentally friendly as possible.
