About the Team

The HR team partners closely with business leaders to drive people strategy across retail operations. The team works at the intersection of business and workforce management to ensure strong employee engagement, policy adherence, operational excellence, and seamless execution of the employee lifecycle across stores.

What you will do:

• Partner with retail business leaders to design and implement HR strategies tailored to store operations.

• Act as a trusted advisor to store managers and employees, promoting company values and fair workplace practices.

• Maintain strong on-ground presence through regular store visits to gauge employee sentiment and proactively address concerns.

• Drive employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs to build a motivated and productive workforce.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for frontline and store-level roles.

• Coordinate pre-employment processes such as background verification and medical checks.

• Facilitate performance review processes, identify performance gaps, and support store managers with improvement plans.

• Partner with business leaders to identify training needs and execute development programs aligned with operational requirements.

• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing through coordination with internal teams.

• Maintain statutory registers, licenses, and ensure compliance with all labor laws and internal policies.

• Manage employee lifecycle processes including exit formalities, conduct exit interviews, and analyze attrition trends.

• Analyze HR metrics such as attrition, engagement scores, and manpower planning data to provide actionable insights.

• Support internal and external HR audits as required.

What are we looking for:

Master’s degree with 7–8 years’ post-MBA experience in field HR / business partnering roles, preferably in retail.

• Proven ability to manage large, distributed frontline employee groups across multiple store locations.

• Willingness and ability to be regularly present in stores to engage employees and address concerns.

• Strong understanding of HR concepts, compliance, and employee relations.

• Ability to build trust, anticipate issues, and implement preventive solutions.

• High initiative, resilience, and agility to thrive in a fast-paced, ground-intensive environment.

• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
