Brief about the Team

Category team is a center of excellence within Tata 1mg. The team executes cross functional tasks in order to improve selection, pricing and service. The team works with manufacturers for growing their brands on the platform.The workingspan across business verticals including e-pharma, institutional business, e-diagnostics, and retail.

What will you do

• Own & drive the agenda for having the best assortment across e-pharmacy platforms, and scaling up processes to be most efficient in the industry
• Leading a team for assortment expansion for FMCG and healthcare products, to drive the widest selection in relevant categories
• Drive platform profitability through negotiations on margins and terms of trade with incoming brands
• Own the process for entire onboarding including coordination with internal teams such as Legal, Finance, and Procurement
• Ownership of quality checks and legal compliance for onboarded categories
• Collaborating with the Category team to prioritize the onboarding pipeline and successfully launch brands on the platform
• Led the team to adhere to defined service level agreements (SLAs) and follow cataloging standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for brands and vendors

What we are looking for

• 5-6 years of experience in managing team and driving operations excellence
• Prior experience in a similar partner on-boarding / vendor management role will be a big plus, though not mandatory
• Proven track record in negotiating terms of trade (ToT) and margins with clients
• Strong team management skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and points clearly and concisely
