About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to manage procurement activities for hospital pharmacy products, including pharmaceuticals, surgical consumables, implants, and other medical supplies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory planning, and ensuring uninterrupted product availability while optimizing costs and maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
·Strong knowledge of pharma, surgical items, implants, and other hospital pharmacy products.
·Manage sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, and procurement operations.
·Maintain drug formularies and ensure product standardization.
·Plan inventory through ROL (Reorder Level), replenishment, and stock optimization.
·Ensure availability while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.
·Monitor and improve pharmacy KPIs, including fill rate, inventory turns, margins, stock availability, and vendor performance.
·Work with ERP/Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Microsoft Excel for procurement planning, inventory management, and reporting.
·Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted supplies.
·Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain operations.
What We're Looking For
· 4–8 years of experience in hospital procurement, pharmacy and hospital sourcing.
·Strong exposure to hospital pharmacy operations.
·B.Pharm / D.Pharm with MBA / PGDM (Supply Chain / Operations preferred).
·Good understanding of hospital pharmacy procurement, drug formularies, surgical consumables, and implants.
·Hands-on experience in inventory planning, ROL (Reorder Level), replenishment, and stock management.
·Strong sourcing, vendor management, and commercial negotiation skills.
·Proficiency in ERP/Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Microsoft Excel.
·Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
·Experience in multi-location hospital procurement or healthcare supply chain will be an added advantage.
