Brief about the Team:
The Data Systems team works on building scalable, reliable, and intelligent data solutions that power business decision-making. The team focuses on developing data models, improving data quality, enabling self-service reporting, automating business processes, and building data products that enhance operational efficiency.

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, analytics teams, product teams, and data engineers to understand business requirements and deliver high-impact, scalable data solutions.

What we are looking for:

• 1–3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Systems, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience working on large-scale datasets and writing optimized queries.
• Good hands-on experience with Python for data processing, automation, and analytical solution development.
• Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT concepts, and data warehousing principles.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase.
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and collaborative development workflows will be a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong sense of ownership with the ability to independently drive initiatives and deliver scalable solutions.

What will you do:

1. Data Systems & Modelling

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models, transformation pipelines, and curated business datasets.
• Build optimized data systems that enable self-service reporting and standardized business metrics across functions.
• Work on data processing workflows and ensure that data solutions are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
• Optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows to improve system efficiency and reporting performance.

2. Data Quality & Reliability

• Ensure data quality through automated validations, monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis of data issues.
• Improve data reliability through continuous monitoring, validation, and automation.
• Identify data quality issues and work with relevant stakeholders and engineering teams to resolve root causes.
• Continuously improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing data systems.

3. Automation & Data Products

• Automate recurring data workflows and manual processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop analytical solutions and data products, including intelligent monitoring, anomaly detection, and process automation frameworks.
• Drive automation initiatives that improve efficiency and enable data-driven business operations.
• Build scalable self-service reporting systems that reduce dependency on manual reporting.

4. Business & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with business, product, analytics, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
• Translate business requirements into effective data solutions and standardized datasets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop trusted datasets that support business-critical reporting and decision-making.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of data solutions.

5. Governance & Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation, business logic, and dataset ownership to support governance and knowledge sharing.
• Establish and follow best practices for data systems, datasets, and reporting.
• Contribute to maintaining standardized business metrics and reliable data processes across functions.
