At Twelve, a leading company in the power to liquids jet fuel industry, the Senior Plant Production Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing plant production processes to ensure efficient and reliable operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality jet fuel products.
The Senior Plant Production Engineer will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the SAF jet fuel industry by maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring the plant operates at peak performance, and meeting production targets, all while navigating the uncertainty of deploying a new CO2 electrolyzer technology.
As a member of the Twelve team, you will report to the Operations Director and collaborate closely with a team of skilled process engineers, project engineers, maintenance engineers, and operation technicians. Together, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing daily process operations at the jet fuel plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
One of the key objectives of this role is to develop and implement production plans and strategies that optimize plant performance. You will have the opportunity to identify and implement process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and efficiency enhancements, ensuring the plant operates at its highest potential.
In this role, you will partner with various cross-functional teams, including maintenance, quality control, and logistics, to streamline operations and resolve any production-related issues. By monitoring production metrics and analyzing data, you will identify trends, address bottlenecks, and make data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.
What you will do
Develop and implement production plans and strategies to meet production targets and quality standards.
Optimize plant performance by identifying and implementing process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and efficiency enhancements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineering, maintenance, quality control, and logistics, to streamline operations and resolve any production-related issues.
Monitor production metrics and analyze data to identify trends, address bottlenecks, and make data-driven decisions.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure equipment reliability, identify maintenance needs, and minimize downtime.
Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in plant production engineering.
Assist with training, supervising, and managing production front line workers
Serves as operations mentor to establish safety culture, and validate compliance with safety procedures and regulatory compliance while protecting the company’s license to operate
Who you are
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience (8+ years) in Refining, Chemical Manufacturing, and/or chloralkali.
Experience with Fisher-Tropsch Reactors, Hydrocracking, and/or Fractionation is a plus
Possess an In-depth understanding of OSHA PSM safety regulations and protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective communication at all levels of the organization.
Strong knowledge of plant operations, process optimization, and production management.
Proficient in using production software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve production-related challenges.

A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.
United States Wage Range: $152,000 - $190,000
