ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Account Executive to help spearhead the expansion of Unravel Carbon into the Japanese market. We are looking for someone who is either an experienced Japanese enterprise SaaS sales professional and/or a Sustainability domain expert with commercial experience in selling products and/or services. This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about 0 to 1 and figuring out how to cater a leading existing solution to a new market. You will work closely with the existing team in Singapore / Australia while playing a leading role in the commercial sales motion in Japan. You will work with our Japan Country Manager to expand the Japanese market. Your mission is to find, engage, and win new enterprise customers in Japan. You will own the outbound motion — working from a prioritised list, building trust with senior stakeholders across target accounts, and navigating complex enterprise sales cycles from first conversation to signed contract. You will operate in close partnership with our growing Japan partner network, routing and co-selling deals through the right partners to maximise reach and close rate.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES **
- Drive aggressive new customer acquisition across Japan, focusing on TSE Prime Market companies and large enterprises.
- Source and develop qualified new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, partnerships, and industry engagement.
- Partner collaboration & deal routing: Identify the most suitable partner for each prospect and route opportunities accordingly to accelerate closure
- Co-Sell alongside partners, product demonstrations, and commercial negotiations
- Act as the primary liaison between prospective customers and the partner network, ensuring seamless handoffs
- Enterprise sales execution : Lead tailored discovery, solution presentations, and proof of concept engagements with enterprise buyers.
- Navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes with sensitivity to Japanese enterprise culture.
- Ensure a high quality transition from Sales to customer success at every new customer close.
- Market Development : Represent Unravel Carbon GK at ESG related conferences, industry forums, and customer roundtables across Japan.
- Establish Unravel Carbon significant market presence, Support the development of the , Japan partner ecosystem by enabling partners with market insights, customer context, and sales collaboration
- Contribute to building scalable sales and partner enablement processes to support the company’s long-term partner-led growth strategy in Japan
ABOUT YOU
4+ years with experiences similar to being a quota carrying sales representative in an Enterprise Saas organisation or selling/consulting in the sustainability domain with a track record of excelling, bonus experience with the business development/partnerships.

- High level of perseverance and tenacity; can push through objections to find novel and creative ways to connect with target enterprises
- Aptitude to work with complex domain heavy enterprise SaaS products
- Sales management experience to continue growing the future Japan team
- Native-level Japanese with working fluency in English
- Passion and interest in sustainability and combating climate change
- Familiarity with GHG Protocol, TCFD, or Scope 1/2/3 emissions framework.
- CRM proficiency (Hubspot or equivalent)

YOUR PREFERRED BACKGROUND
A bachelor’s degree (or a post-degree diploma) in business/economics, sustainability, with working experience in a related Sales / Business Development role.
