Role Description
You will have the opportunity to join a hard-working and quickly growing team, and have an immediate impact within a young company. This full time, temporary role will offer exposure to Via Separations’ test systems, supporting development of both existing and future products. Day-to-day responsibilities will include cross-functional work with Via Separations’ Research & Advanced Development, Product and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Operation of R&D scale membrane testing systems including sample collection and analysis.
  • Preparation of testing materials and solutions. Working closely with Via’s scientists on experimental design and execution.
  • Sharing results with a team of scientists and engineers to inform commercial system design decisions.
  • Generating documents such as SOPs to enable safe and controlled system operation.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • Ability to work on a full-time basis (approximately 40 hours per week) between July and December 2023.
  • Coursework in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering or similar.
  • Hands-on lab skills and safe-lab practices are strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated hands-on project experience (coursework, extracurricular, and/or leisure).
  • Passion for learning and willingness to ask questions.
  • Ability to work with limited direction and oversight.
  • Strong ability to manage time and quickly shifting priorities
  • A desire to be independent and take ownership of projects
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • A clear interest in sustainability
  • US work authorization is required for this role
