Role Description
You will have the opportunity to join a hard-working and quickly growing team, and have an immediate impact within a young company. This role will offer exposure to the full lineup of Via Separations’ existing research and development test systems. In addition to the detailed process, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering design work, there will be numerous opportunities for project management, leadership, and creative development. Day-to-day responsibilities will include cross-functional work with Via Separations’ Research & Advanced Development and Design & Product sub-teams.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design, procurement, fabrication, maintenance, and improvement of test systems for membrane research and development
- Controlled document generation, e.g. drafting of SOPs, BOMs, etc., and 2D / 3D process modeling, e.g. drafting of PFDs, P&IDs, isometrics, etc.
- Live and retroactive troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
Qualifications & Characteristics
- Coursework in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar fields
- Strong ability to manage time and quickly shift priorities
- A desire to be independent and lead projects
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and with long-term projects
- A strong technical ability to learn about new processes
- A clear interest in sustainability
- US work authorization is required for this role
