A Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production process, ensuring product quality and adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines. This includes operating equipment like conveyors, tempering machine, bottle filling, pouch filler, labeling machine, enrobers, grinder machine, roster machine, mixer, and packaging machines. Also record production data, maintain a clean work area, and may assist in troubleshooting minor machine issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Machine Operator

Food Preparation

● Prepare, roast, grind, mix, and pack a variety of products according to customer request or instruction of management, following approved procedures.

● Strictly adhere to all the HACCP and GMP’s policies and procedures to ensure the quality and safety of our products. ● Provide support in areas of production such as Receiving, Roasting, Batching, Grinding, Preparation and Mising, ensuring that the ingredients are of high quality and available for production.

● Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Food Assembly

● Safety/GMP/Food Safety/Quality policies followed.

● Ensure prepared items are available for the assembly line.

● Participate in the chocolate, coffee and spreads production lines.

● Fill individual serving cartons with portions by hand or using an automatic filling machine.

● Examine filled jars, cups or pouches for completeness and appearance, and store completed units in storage areas correctly.

Physical Requirements

● Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solve.

● Ability to read, write and speak basic English for the safe and effective performance of the job.

● Must be capable of cleaning work stations with chemicals using protective gear.

● Capable of learning the function and design of different machines.

● Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, leads and Supervisors.

● Ability to work independently and follow written instructions.

● Must be able to work safely.

● Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.

● Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

● This position is an onsite position.

● Possess a Can-Do attitude and be able and willing to take directions.

Compensation

United States-based roles only: The wage for this role is between $22 - $24 per hour, plus immediate participation in our benefits program (health, dental, 401k, and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs. All employees are owners of Voyage Foods and receive an equity grant as part of their total package. At Voyage Foods, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.
