WHO WE ARE

What The Future has developed 3DTI, a breakthrough low environmental impact, local manufacturing technology that enables planet-friendly, industrial scale production. We’re using 3DTI to develop, engineer and produce products in a completely new way.

3DTI is currently utilised in two commercial applications, custom confections (ice pops, chocolate, gummies) and footwear production.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Amsterdam.

The successful candidate will drive and close new business opportunities. They will be responsible for evaluating our proposition and model, evaluating prospective licensees, and for maximizing the potential of existing licensees.

They will be responsible for driving all activities within the machine sales cycle, from first contact with potential licensees, to closure of contracts, and including ongoing licensee support to ensure long term success.

They will be collaborating with our engineering and 3D design teams to create ambitious product propositions for licensees.

This role is best suited for a curious, flexible candidate with entrepreneurial spirit.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Develop and execute sales strategies
  • Prospect potential sales opportunities
  • Manage entire sales cycle from identifying prospects to closing deals, including defining content, pricing, terms and conditions
  • Participate in sales revenue goal setting and budget planning
  • Establish key performance measures and goals for licensees
  • Calculations and modeling
  • Support existing licenses to maximize potential. Identify needs and cultivate opportunities
  • Analysis and reporting
  • Work closely with internal teams to define product propositions

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Machine sales experience preferred
  • Degree educated in a related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills; proven record cultivating and developing relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen, demonstrated ability to negotiate and close contracts
  • Achievement oriented with proven track record of sales results
  • Passionate about technology and innovation
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
  • Able to tackle problems independently with little guidance
  • Available for travel, local and international
  • Fluent in English
  • Legally authorized to work in the Netherlands without sponsorship
