Job Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated emerging talent to participate in a 10-week immersive internship program from June 8, 2026, to August 14, 2026. This program offers university and graduate students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.
This intern will dive in with the team to develop elements of a computational engineering platform. Focus areas will be one of the following: building manufacturing or physics kernels for the platform, developing teams of AI agents that work together to capture engineering workflows, performing full-stack development of the software framework, or working with AI PCB design problems.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary translator between physical engineering laws and software logic
- Design multi-step agentic workflows that break down complex engineering tasks into solvable steps
- Build robust guardrails and feedback loops, ensuring the AI generates a valid design that obeys physical reality
- Define what success looks like in a non-deterministic environment
- Work with the platform team to abstract their specific domain solution into generalizable patterns for the Voyager platform
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical field
- Deep academic or practical understanding of at least one major engineering vertical (Mechanical, Electrical/PCB, Thermal, Fluid Dynamics, or Manufacturing Processes). Must be able to mathematically articulate the constraints of that domain
- Familiarity or desire to learn about building applications with LLMs and orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangGraph or custom state machines)
- Understanding of how to validate outputs against constraints (logic programming, assert-based testing, or geometric checks)
- Familiarity with how to balance competing objectives (Pareto frontiers) within an engineering context
- Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion
Preferences:
-
Highly motivated and passionate about building the future of engineering tools
*Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography
