The successful candidate will work from HQ or their home office to develop a sales pipeline and close sales with data center end users directly. This person will also develop a manufacturer’s representative channel to leverage business growth. This position directly reports to the Senior Director of Sales-Data Center Solutions and may be worked remotely from home or onsite at ZincFive headquarters located in Tualatin, Oregon.
Data Center Solutions Sales Manager Job Duties:
- Follow-up on leads, drive, and close sales of ZincFive’s data center uninterruptible power supply products (UPS)
- Maintain an updated database of customer contacts and opportunities in the company’s (CRM) client relationship management tool
- Present ZincFive data center UPS solutions at trade shows, conferences, and customer events
- Sell directly to end user customers and identify, manage, and retain manufacturer’s representatives
- Provide input on industry trends, competitive updates, and pertinent customer information
- Provide input to management and marketing on voice of customer feedback
- Provide accurate and timely field reports
- Build and execute sales strategies and tactical plans
- Work independently with limited supervision and support
- Travel frequently throughout the U.S. and Canada
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in direct end user sales involving uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) for mission critical applications in the data center industry
- Up to 75% travel is required within the U.S. and Canada
- Must have excellent sales, relationship and communications skills
- Must have presentation, solution selling and closing skills and be able to directly support and help close orders
- Ability to present ZincFive solutions to large audiences (trade shows, user group meetings)
- Must have strong work ethic to be successful and perform in a non-supervised environment
- Strong communication and organization skills, experience working with small cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, product management)
- Ability to understand technical products and clearly articulate product functionality, features and benefits, i.e. basic electrical, battery, power distribution systems, and data center application knowledge
- Experience with CRMs and/or sales opportunity tracking tools and processes
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Adaptability to working within a rapidly growing company environment
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Established relationships within the Data Center Market
- Proven history of hitting revenue targets within the target industry
- Sales hunter mentality

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Work involves extended periods of sitting, standing, some repetitive motion, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Requires the ability to conduct business over the phone for extended periods of time
- The ability to travel via air, car, bus, and train for extended periods of time
- Normal office or home office environment
Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
