Position Overview

AirEx is seeking a Supply Chain Manager, responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes, production planning and logistic operations of an outsourced manufacturing contract, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of our smart home solutions. This role involves coordinating with various AirEx internal departments and our suppliers to meet production goals and customer demands. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organisation skills, a background in manufacturing and logistics, and the ability to drive continuous improvement. They must be passionate about AirEx's mission to combat fuel poverty and climate change and will have a demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing efforts in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Manufacturing Operations:

  • Oversee outsourced manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, and within quality standards for AirEx.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Define and monitor production schedules, adjusting these as necessary to accommodate changes in customer demand.
  • Lead on ongoing product certification and audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practice.

Production Planning:

  • Working closely with our commercial team, forecast customer demand and plan and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate with our contract manufacturer to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
  • Working with our finance team to develop and manage a manufacturing and logistics cash flow model based on negotiated pricing and volume forecasts.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production performance.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and eliminate waste.

Logistics Management:

  • Manage all AirEx logistics operations, including importing, warehousing, and distribution of our products.
  • Optimise logistics processes to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs whilst considering our environmental impact.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with logistics providers and negotiate contracts.
  • Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and delivering continuous improvement.
  • Perform incoming inspection on product received from contract manufacturers

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong experience in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in production planning and process improvement
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing and logistics software (e.g., ERP, MRP, WMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Passion for AirEx's mission to combat fuel poverty and climate change.
  • Strong understanding of environmental sustainability and its integration into production management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
