Location : Home-based in the North of England with occasional planned working from AirEx’s London office, and frequent UK travel to customers

Salary: 50-60k + Commission

POSITION OVERVIEW

AirEx is seeking a motivated Senior Business Development Manager to help realise the company’s commercial goals in the Social Housing and the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) retrofit markets.

You will

  • Develop and implement the business development strategy for a key UK market segment.
  • Generate and nurture B2B leads and manage the deal pipeline from early engagement to deal close for customers in all our market segments
  • Use a mix of digital channels, face-to-face meetings and events to build trust and relationships with customers and partners delivering retrofit projects
  • Take responsibility for forecasts for your main target market segment, developing the process and assessing performance
  • Work with the wider commercial and operations teams to identify opportunities and risks in delivering the company’s commercial goals

QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for sustainability and working to support vulnerable people
  • A focus on people, excellent interpersonal skills, but with a desire to achieve exceptional results
  • Significant experience in driving business development for a key customer segment or route to market, including forecasting, monitoring progress and reporting
  • Mastery of customer prospecting, follow-up strategies, sales approaches and techniques
  • Demonstrable experience in nurturing and managing customer relationships
  • Effective and professional communications
  • The ability to interpret market information and capture customer insights to inform strategies and priorities for key market segments
  • Ideally experience of working with social housing landlords, retrofit contractors or ECO installers but this is not essential
