Senior Investment Analyst
Location: Los Angeles, CA or Baltimore, MD (preferred, but remote flexibility)
Piper Maddox is partnered with a rapidly growing investor, owner, and operator of distributed renewable energy assets across the U.S., with a portfolio exceeding $700M across solar, battery storage, and microgrid projects.
They are backed by a major institutional sponsor with over $500B in assets under management, and are entering a significant growth phase, with their portfolio expected to surpass $1B. They are looking for a talented Senior Investment Analyst to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Build, own, and maintain financial models for new investments and capital facilities
- Support capital raising efforts across debt, equity, and tax equity structures
- Lead cash flow forecasting, capital planning, and funding strategy development
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to inform investment decisions
- Partner with senior leadership on portfolio strategy, JV structuring, and optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
- Support both capital deployment and capital markets initiatives
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in: Investment Banking (preferred), Infrastructure, power, or renewable energy investing / IPP environments
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skill set
- Exposure to project finance, structured finance, or capital markets is preferred
- Familiarity with tax equity and renewable energy financing structures
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong work ethic with a desire to take ownership and grow within the role
