Project Developer – Renewable Energy

We're currently supporting a privately owned renewable energy developer that has been active in project development and infrastructure investment for more than two decades and based just outside Würzburg.

The business develops renewable energy projects across Europe, with a growing portfolio spanning solar parks, battery storage, wind projects. As their development pipeline continues to expand, they are looking to strengthen their project development team with an experienced Project Developer to take ownership of projects from early-stage identification through to permitting.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of renewable technologies while collaborating closely with municipalities, landowners, planning authorities, and technical consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the development of renewable energy projects including utility-scale solar, battery storage, and wind. .
  • Identifying and evaluating new project locations and conducting site feasibility assessments.
  • Securing land agreements, easements, and access rights with landowners and stakeholders
  • Presenting projects to municipalities, local authorities, and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinating planning and permitting processes including development plans, land-use planning procedures, and building permits.
  • Managing external consultants including engineering and planning offices.
  • Ensuring projects progress according to technical, commercial, contractual, and schedule requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in renewable energy project development or infrastructure development.
  • Strong understanding of permitting, planning processes, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience negotiating land agreements and coordinating with municipalities.
  • Ability to manage projects across technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, Fluent German.
  • Willingness to travel within the region when required.
