NEW OPPORTUNITY - Lisbon, Portugal

Role: Technical Project Manager

Location: Lisbon

Salary: €50,000 + bonus DOE

A growing international renewable energy IPP is expanding its technical team and looking to appoint a Project Manager / Engineer to support projects across multiple stages of the lifecycle.

The business focuses on the development, construction and long-term operation of solar PV, wind and energy storage projects, with an established presence across Southern and Eastern Europe. Their development pipeline currently exceeds 3GW, reflecting strong growth and continued investment across key markets.

The technical team plays a central role across the full project lifecycle — from supporting early-stage technical solution development through to overseeing construction, operations and maintenance activities. This position offers broad exposure across technologies and project phases, combining both pre-construction and delivery responsibilities. It’s a collaborative and relatively lean team, offering good visibility across projects and the opportunity to take on responsibility early.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the development, discussion and validation of technical solutions during pre-construction. Knowledge of Electrical Substations is useful
  2. Preparing and reviewing technical reports for internal teams, advisors and external stakeholders.
  3. Monitoring project budgets and supporting cost control activities
  4. Managing project planning and schedules
  5. Coordinating with internal teams and external technical advisors
  6. Monitoring market practices and technical developments across the renewable energy sector

They are looking for someone with:

  1. A background in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering
  2. At least 3 years of experience in renewable energy projects or electrical power grid environments
  3. A practical, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  4. Fluency in Portuguese and English
  5. Willingness to travel internationally and visit project sites when required
