Role: Construction Manager

Location: Fully onsite in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, Iowa or New Mexico

We are partnered with a rapidly scaling company who develop hybrid distributed solutions (gas turbines & BESS) to clients in the data center, energy, commercial and industrial sectors. They plan to add over 2.2GW of projects this year alone!

This isn’t a traditional Construction Manager role, you’ll be fully in the field, leading execution of large-scale power generation projects to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery. Acting as the primary site lead, you’ll coordinate contractors and field teams, maintain alignment with engineering, project management, and safety, and oversee design, construction, and commissioning while managing a team of experienced Superintendents.

Responsibilities 🔨

  • Lead onsite execution of large-scale turbine-based power generation projects from mobilization through commissioning and handover
  • Manage and grow a team of experienced Superintendents
  • Own installation and commissioning
  • Own day-to-day construction activities, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, and on budget
  • Manage EPCs, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams across multi-discipline scopes
  • Lead site safety, QA/QC processes, inspections, and turnover documentation
  • Act as the primary onsite leader, coordinating stakeholders and leading daily site operations

Qualifications & Experience 📑

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of construction management experience within power generation or heavy industrial projects
  • Min 2 years of managerial experience and large onsite teams (20+ personnel)
  • Strong track record leading onsite construction of gas turbine or aeroderivative power plants
  • Strong experience across installation, mechanical completion, and commissioning phases
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, safety, QA/QC, and multi-scope coordination
  • Comfortable operating in fully onsite, field-based environments

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with major turbine OEMs (e.g., Solar, GE, or similar platforms)
  • Exposure to hybrid projects (gas + BESS)
  • Background in LNG, compressor stations, offshore, or process facilities
