Piper Maddox has partnered with a leading sustainable infrastructure investor and asset owner to hire a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of distributed generation solar and battery storage projects across the US.

The business is a rapidly scaling owner-operator of clean energy assets, developing, constructing, and operating a growing portfolio of solar, BESS, and hybrid projects nationwide. Backed by strong institutional investors and recent major capital partnerships, they are entering a significant growth phase with an expanding pipeline and increased project volume across multiple markets.

The Senior Project Manager will bring structure and oversight from EPC execution through final completion on a variety of complex construction, and project closeout across a portfolio of distributed generation (solar + storage) projects, typically up to 5MW.

You will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, coordinating EPCs, developers, and internal teams to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget execution across multiple active sites. The role also includes supporting junior team members and helping strengthen delivery processes as the portfolio scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of distributed generation projects from late-stage pre-construction through construction and closeout.
• Manage schedules, budgets, risk, and reporting across multiple active solar and storage projects.
• Coordinate EPCs, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct site visits and maintain oversight across field and office-based activities.
• Support and mentor junior project team members.
• Act as escalation point for project delivery and execution issues.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of solar project delivery experience (storage experience a plus).
• Background with EPCs, developers, or owner-operators preferred.
• Experience delivering C&I / distributed generation projects (up to 5–10MW).
• Strong understanding of construction execution, drawings, and constructability.
• Exposure to battery storage projects beneficial.
• OSHA 30 and NABCEP certifications a plus.
