We are partnered with a global, market-leading engineering and technology company. They are developing renewables and grid automation software platforms across energy resource management, energy efficiency, and battery energy storage, supporting utilities and hardware OEMs.

As they scale across the USA they are looking for a Head of Technical Product Management to lead technical product execution across their renewables and grid automation software portfolio. You will sit at the intersection of product, engineering, architecture, and go-to-market, owning the full product lifecycle from requirements refinement and solution definition through productization and market delivery.

Key Responsibilities 🔨:

• Own technical product management for renewables and grid automation software platforms, including energy management and BESS-related solutions
• Translate customer and sales requirements into clear, actionable technical product requirements, maintaining strong upward and downward communication
• Partner closely with solution architecture, platform engineering, and product development teams to drive execution
• Develop deep understanding of the end-to-end technology stack and guide technical decision-making
• Lead productization of software solutions, ensuring scalability, quality, and market readiness
• Act as a senior technical interface across internal teams and external stakeholders, including customers and industry partners
• Manage and develop a small U.S.-based technical product team (currently 1 direct report)
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements as a technical thought leader

Qualifications & Experience 📑:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (strongly preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in Technical Product Management within T&D Automation / Control Software
• 3+ years in a leadership position managing a team
• Strong hands-on expertise across both technology and power systems domain
• Early-career experience as a software developer within the electrical utility or power systems domain
• Deep understanding of SCADA systems, communication protocols, and electric utility industry standards
• Proven experience collaborating with platform and product development teams to drive technical execution
• Ability to be hands-on with technical problem-solving and coding when required
• Strong understanding of standards governing electric utilities and grid modernization
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Candidates focused on renewable hardware product development will not be considered
• Solar-only backgrounds are not suitable; solar + storage or broader grid software experience is needed
