Piper Maddox is partnering with a highly successful utility scale IPP. This company is seeking an experienced Controller to own accounting, financial reporting, and treasury operations, while leading a high performing accounting team.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Our client is seeking their next Controller who will oversee accounting operations, financial close, internal controls, external audit, tax compliance, and audit management. This person will drive technical accounting and accounting policy governance while implementing new standards and complex transactions.

KEY SKILLS

• Lead end to end monthly, quarterly, and annual close with GAAP compliant financial statements and management reporting.
• Lead cash management, banking operations, and treasury controls, providing working capital reporting and supporting cash forecasting in partnership with the FP&A team and the CFO.
• Improve and scale a high performing accounting team including performance management.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Development, and Operations to ensure accurate project accounting.

EXPERIENCE

• 15+ years progressive accounting experience including 7+ years leading teams and owning close and financial reporting.
• Deep expertise in renewable energy, power, or infrastructure.
• CPA required.
