Dire Hire | Senior Project Engineer

Location: Remote with 40% travel to New York.

We’re partnering with a well-established IPP with a growing international footprint. With a strong pipeline of utility-scale projects across multiple markets, the company is continuing to expand its presence in the U.S., particularly within solar and energy storage.

This is an opportunity to join a business that combines the stability of an established platform with the momentum of active growth. The team is currently scaling its engineering capabilities to support a number of projects in development, procurement, and early execution phases.

The Role

As a Senior Project Engineer/Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the technical coordination of utility-scale renewable projects from early-stage development through execution. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering efforts across multiple disciplines including electrical, civil, and grid/interconnection
  • Support development activities, including early-stage design and permitting inputs
  • Oversee external engineering partners and review technical deliverables for quality and accuracy
  • Collaborate with procurement and construction teams during bidding and execution phases
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and help drive solutions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's on Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering is a requirement
  • Proven experience supporting utility-scale energy projects (solar, or storage)
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate across parallel workstreams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment with evolving processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly
  • Project experience in New York is a bonus

Compensation:

  • $120k - $170k base + 25% bonus
