Overview

Our client is seeking a senior electrical engineering leader to drive technical strategy and execution across utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, while also supporting the performance and optimization of operating assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical oversight for both new project development and existing plant operations
• Partner cross-functionally with project management and procurement teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
• Act as the primary technical liaison with EPCs, vendors, utilities, and regulatory bodies
• Guide engineering studies, feasibility assessments, and design reviews
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
• Identify and implement performance improvements across operating assets
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation and specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
• 15+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years of utility-scale solar projects
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams or functions
• Strong expertise in MV/HV systems, substations, protection & control, and grid interconnection
• Working knowledge of U.S. standards (NEC, IEEE) and ERCOT interconnection requirements
• Experience collaborating with EPC contractors and supporting construction activities
• Proven ability to lead design reviews and manage technical documentation
