A well-backed, fast-growing renewable natural gas (RNG) developer is hiring an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to support the design, operation, and optimization of control systems across a growing portfolio of RNG facilities.

This role is critical to ensuring reliable plant operations, accurate metering, and seamless SCADA integration across multiple sites. You’ll work closely with operations, engineering, and project delivery teams to support both existing assets and new project commissioning.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, support, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems across multiple RNG facilities
  • Collaborate closely with plant operators to diagnose and resolve controls-related issues
  • Develop, configure, and maintain PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to ensure reliable real-time monitoring and control
  • Support system commissioning and startup activities, including calibration, testing, and functional verification
  • Ensure accurate metering and data acquisition to support operational insight and regulatory reporting
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve system reliability, safety, and overall plant performance
  • Maintain clear, well-organized documentation of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering within an industrial or process environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms and SCADA/HMI systems (Envision experience highly valued; broader SCADA exposure encouraged)
  • Solid understanding of process instrumentation, measurement technologies, and data acquisition systems
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, NFPA, API, and related codes
  • Experience in RNG, biogas, landfill gas, wastewater, or gas pipeline environments is a strong plus

Why You'll Love this Opportunity:

  • Work out of their HQ in Atlanta + occasional travel to project sites!
  • Strong base salary + annual bonus!
  • Opportunity to work on real operating assets, not just design-only projects!
  • Strong project pipeline & private-equity financial backing!
  • Report directly to the VP of Engineering with long-term growth opportunity as the company continues to scale its RNG portfolio!
  • Work with an amazing & passionate team, supporting the clean energy transition across the USA!
