Senior Project Development Lead

📉Salary: €100,000 - 120,000 + company car

We have partnered with an established German developer who are looking to expand their German market presence.

Your Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and assess opportunities for the development of wind and solar energy projects, building and managing a robust, self-originated project portfolio.
• Lead the end-to-end development of renewable energy projects through all phases up to RTB stage, ensuring alignment with economic viability, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives.
• Take ownership of and coordinate all key project development processes, including spatial planning designations, building permit procedures, and approvals under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG).
• Act as the central point of contact and provide strong leadership in managing relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including municipalities, regulatory authorities, and project partners.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and lead negotiations to secure project support, successfully building partnerships with municipalities, landowners, authorities, agricultural cooperatives, and farmers.
• Demonstrate leadership by guiding cross-functional teams, influencing decision-making, and ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment across all project stakeholders.

Your Profile:

• Hold a university degree in engineering or a completed technical vocational qualification, complemented by relevant professional experience.
• Bring hands-on experience in the development of photovoltaic (PV) projects, with a solid understanding of project lifecycles.
• Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly grasp complex engineering and project-related concepts.
• Possess sound knowledge of common project management methodologies and are proficient in MS Office applications.
• Exhibit excellent planning and organizational skills, enabling you to manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver results.
• Show flexibility and mobility, supported by a valid Class B driving licence.
• Combine strong negotiation skills with assertiveness and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of stakeholders.
• Work in a highly independent, structured, and solution-oriented manner, taking ownership of tasks and driving them through to completion.
• Proven experience in a leadership position
• Fluent in German and English
