Senior GL Accountant

Piper Maddox is partnering with a highly successful European manufacturing company that is now establishing their leading market position in the US. This company is undergoing rapid expansion and is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the Finance function including their AR/AP and GL teams.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Our client is seeking their next Senior GL Accountant who will take ownership of company-wide accounting and ensure correct reporting through monthly/quarterly/yearly closings. This experienced professional will also support the business in making continuous GL improvements within the accounting function.

KEY SKILLS

• Monitor budgets and cost center performance.
• Perform GL maintenance and reconciliations, including execution of month-end and year-end closing processes aligned with Belgian / US GAAP (with European support).
• Make improvements in the GL accounting function of a business and support reporting, analysis, and ERP modernization.
• Perform variance analysis, sales tax reporting and filings, and KPI reporting with FP&A team.

EXPERIENCE

• 5-7 years accounting experience with strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience owing GL accounting for a manufacturing company (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or CPA certification.
