New opportunity with a fast‑growing data center operator expanding its Critical Facilities Maintenance (CFM) team and hiring CFM Engineers to support 24/7 hyperscale operations in Central Ohio.
This full‑time, on‑site role supports the operation and reliability of a 75MW+ data center. You’ll maintain power, cooling, and life‑safety systems while helping drive projects and improvements across a cutting‑edge facility.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems (switchgear, UPS, generators, chillers, AHUs, batteries, transformers)
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to alarms, failures, and emergencies
- Support fire/life‑safety equipment testing and inspections
- Conduct building walk‑throughs and maintain a safe, clean work environment
- Lead small/medium projects: gather vendor quotes, draft procedures, coordinate with engineering and construction teams
- Work with vendors and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards
- Document maintenance activities and assist with reliability improvements
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical trade school / military training or 1+ year relevant industry experience
- 1+ year electrical or mechanical trade experience
- Strong understanding of building systems and critical infrastructure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Nice‑to‑Haves:
- 2+ years data center or mission‑critical facility experience
- Experience with high‑density cooling, generators, controls, or large mechanical/electrical systems
Schedule:
- Non‑exempt hourly role
- 12‑hour shifts on a two‑week rotation:
- Week 1: 3 shifts (36 hrs)
- Week 2: 4 shifts (48 hrs)
- Includes nights, weekends, and holidays
- No on‑call unless it aligns with shift coverage
